Q: Does AMS charge tuition fees?
A: We are a tuition-free school! Some campuses have small fees associated with the full-day Kindergarten program. Please ask your desired campus for more details.
Q: What grades do you serve?
A: We serve Kindergarten through 8th grade.
Q: I live in _______, can I attend?
A: Yes! We do not have any geographical restrictions to attend and we do not belong to any district.
So long as you can transport your child to our school, they are welcome to attend!
Q: Do you offer bus transportation?
A: No, we do not offer bus transportation for students.
Q: Do you offer before or after-care?
A: Yes! All of our Phoenix schools offer both morning and after-care while our Tucson schools offer
after-school-care.
Q: What are the hours for morning/after care?
A: Phoenix Schools: Morning-care starting at 6:30 AM and after-care until 6:00 PM.
A: Tucson Schools: After-care until 5:00 PM.
Q: How do I enroll/register my kid(s)?
A: Please begin the enrollment process by applying online. Once we have received your application, a member of our team will contact you to create an appointment to come to our campus in-person and complete enrollment.
Q: Do you offer extracurricular activities/sports?
A: Yes! We offer a variety of after-school sports and activities like cheer, football, volleyball, track-and-field, basketball, robotics, and Science Olympiad, to name just a few.
Whether or not a sport is offered at a campus is determined upon parent and student interest. Tell us what you’d like to see at your AMS school!
Q: How old does a child have to be for Kindergarten?
A: We require students to be 5 years old by September 1. If a parent is interested in testing their child into Kindergarten early, they must speak directly to the School Principal.

Q: What is your teaching style/how are students taught?
A: Our primary teaching method is direct instruction with more deliberate project-based methods in certain subjects (science, music, and technology).
Q: Do you have an online option for my family?
A: Yes! At our Advanced Virtual Academy (AVA), the courses are 100% online and you can study anywhere you have internet access.
Many courses include some activities away from the computer such as reading and writing, or conducting research for a project. But even those projects will be submitted online.
Q: How do AVA students interact with their peers?
Even with the digital framework, there are many opportunities for students to socialize. We will host face-to-face events at our ASM campuses through the year. These experiences include extracurricular groups, athletic clubs and more.
