Course Description

Welcome Desert Sky Dragons!! It has been a pleasure working with each and every student. This year, they will be learning about: sequences, fractions, probability, physical and life sciences and many more! We have an outstanding administration and staff at AMS Desert Sky and will be upholding the following values in every aspect of this school year:

I give the students about an hour to work on their lesson work in class and then it turns into homework if they haven't finished. So it should be enough time!

Only homework is the diagnostic test with Study Island, due Monday! The students did amazing on their quiz today 

8/8/19 Homework

The students are awesome! They finished their homework and we also had time to go over it in class. They are homework free tonight :):) 
 
IF they want to be ahead, they can take the diagnostic test on Study Island (due 8/12). They are also always welcome to start the study island lessons as well, make sure they are doing them in chronological order!! They are cumulative. 
 
My policy is if they get a 70% or better, then they can put a sticker on the board tracker in the room. Study Island lessons are also how I will be inputting homework grades. They are allowed to go back for a higher score on any lesson to improve their grades throughout the year! 
 
I also have it set up that if they get greater than a 70% for that lesson, the game mode opens up. Thanks!!

They can do the diagnostic test on Study Island if they want. It's not due until 8/12. Students were sent home with usernames and passwords for Study Island. Make sure they are signing into the SCHOOL side-the orange login button.
