Christine Fitzsimmons holds a B.A in Elementary Education from the University of Arizona and a Master's in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. She has a certificate in K-8 and has her Middle School Language Arts endorsement. She has a total of 17 years of educational experience with 9 years being in the classroom and 8 years as an administrator.
Assistant Principal - Barbara Asaro
Barbara Asaro
Barbara Asaro holds a B.A. degree in Criminal Justice as well as a Post Baccalaureate in Elementary Education and a Master's in School Administration. This is Ms. Asaro's 14th year in education with 7 years in the classroom and 6 years as an Instructional Coach and Facilitator. Ms. Asaro holds a State of AZ teaching and Principal Certificate as well as a Reading endorsement. This is Ms. Asaro's first year as an Assistance Principal with AMSPA. In her spare time, Ms. Asaro enjoys spending time her 2 year old son and her husband. They enjoy reading books, watching movies, and going to the park. Ms. Asaro has a passion for serving the community and she looks forward to continuing her journey at the Peoria campus.
Assistant Principal - Takesha Turner
Mrs. Takesha Turner was born and raised in Louisiana, and remained there for 22 years before relocating to Arizona. Her education background consists of a Bachelor's Degree from ASU in Liberal Arts, Post Baccalaureate in Education (K-8) from Rio Salado, and a Master's Degree from NAU in Educational Leadership. Mrs. Turner's career spans across both charter and public schools. She has served in the educational field for 20 years and such roles include: classroom teacher (12 years), instructional specialist, and school administrator (8 years), serving as both principal and assistant principal. She is elated to join the AMS family and looks forward to continued service supporting and working alongside students, teachers, staff, families, and the community.
Dean of Students - Michael Robinson 
Michael Robinson
Michael Robinson was born in Augsburg, Germany at a time his Father was deployed for military service overseas and was subsequently raised in the rural farming community of Gainesville, New York. Leaving his hometown at a young age for a new adventure in the U.S. Air Force, he served distinctly as a Security Police officer during a 20-year career in multiple locations worldwide. While at an overseas air base, he earned his master’s degree in education while simultaneously teaching criminal justice courses to military and civilian students for three years at an American college. After retiring from government service, he returned to the U.S. and had the honor and privilege to teach elementary and middle school students in two different public-school districts in the Phoenix valleys. He finds himself now honored again to be a part of the outstanding team at AMS to provide a service to our community by ensuring every student learns the most advanced curriculum and instruction. As Dean of Students, his passion is to maintain a safe culture for all scholars on campus.
