Ms. Kimberly Guice has been fortunate to experience life in three different states. Born and raised in Kansas, she completed her education at three of the state's finest institutions: she received Bachelor degrees from Bethany College (Biology) and Wichita State University (Elementary Education) and achieved a Master's Degree in School Leadership from Friends University. Before deciding upon a teaching career, however, Ms. Guice decided to scratch her travel and adventure "itch" and moved to Seattle, Washington where she embarked upon a career in advertising. While she enjoyed this field, she felt she wanted to make a bigger difference in the lives of young people so she returned to Kansas and spent 17 years teaching in the Wichita Public Schools and doing public service work. Thirteen years ago, she opted to make the move to Arizona to be near family and enjoy life in the "Valley of the Sun". Ms. Guice, proud to be a lifelong learner, has taught K-12 students, been a mentor teacher, a Site Technology Specialist and currently teaches English Language Arts and Social Studies to 4th and 5th graders at AMS Advanced Virtual Academy.
In her spare time Ms. Guice enjoys spending time with family and friends watching movies and sports. She is a "diehard" Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals fan but she also loves listening to music, reading, walking, trying out new restaurants and researching family history.
