Meet Ms. Causland

Ms. Causland attended NAU where she graduated with a B.S. in Elementary and Special Education. She student taught in a general education kindergarten classroom and in a 5th/6th grade resource classroom with the Department of Defense in Vilseck, Germany. Prior to that, Ms. Causland worked as a paraprofessional for many years and across grade levels. After graduation, Ms. Causland completed her first year of teaching in a resource classroom where she taught differentiated and modified curriculum for students in kindergarten, second, fifth, and sixth grade. She has worked for numerous school districts across Arizona and has taught summer enrichment courses in various subject areas for the past three years.


Ms. Causland is passionate about living a healthy lifestyle and enjoys activities that support being active. She enjoys practicing yoga, meditation, cooking and baking vegan recipes, and exploring new hiking trails across Arizona. Ms. Causland is a foodie and loves to try new restaurants. She enjoys getting lost in a book and she volunteers with various organizations to help the youth and homeless in the state.


Ms. Causland is looking forward to teaching kindergarten on the Peoria campus this year! Ms. Causland is excited to help inspire our scholars to want to learn and grow for the rest of their school careers by providing an exciting and enriching introduction to school in her classroom. Ms. Causland is a firm believer in having a positive and growth mindset with a kind heart and she looks forward to teaching the scholars in her classroom how to train their brains to excel.
