Meet Mr. Johnson

My name is Mr. Johnson and I am excited to be your second grade teacher.  I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska where I graduated from Millard North High School and received my A.A. in Liberal Arts from Metropolitan Community College.  When I moved to Phoenix I received my B.A. in Christian Studies -Emphasis in Youth Ministry from American Indian College graduating Summa Cum Laude and had the honor of being Valedictorian.  I briefly lived in Eden Prairie, Minnesota where I earned my M.A. in Theological studies from University of Northwestern-St. Paul. Currently I am working on my teaching credential from Rio Salado.
I am married to my wife Nicole of 12 years and we have three beautiful daughters (Lilette-6, Ember-3, and Arabella 1 in March), as well as our fur baby Minnie Mouse - (70 in dog years). I enjoy Video Games (Retro {NES, SNES, Sega, N64, Playstation) and some newer games (Fortnite, Spiderman, WWE series, Kingdom Hearts).  I am a huge wrestling fan and can be found cheering for A.J. Styles, Matt Cordona, Braun Strowman, Bayley, and Natalaya.  I also like Super Heros (Avengers, X-Men, Batman, Power Rangers).  I am also a fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Arizona Cardinals.  One of my hobbies is videography and you will get to see that in action as I edit and produce and occasionally star in the morning announcements.
I am looking forward to the opportunities and challenges of this year.  I love to think outside the box and come up with new solutions to a problem.  My teaching philosophy is that all children have potential and I can help them discover it.
