Ms. Mayo is a New Orleans native.  Her educational achievements consist of a Master’s degree in Elementary Education/Technology Integration and a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Art/ Early Childhood Education.
She has over 35 years of experience in education.  Her most recent position was kindergarten teacher in the Jefferson Parish School System.

Ms. Mayo is an outgoing, friendly individual who thrives on building partnerships.  She believes that a great teacher addresses the needs of every child's academic, emotional, and physical growth, necessary for setting a strong foundation for their futures.  An effective teacher possesses the ability to build relationships between the school and families necessary for childhood development.  A teacher establishes relationships with administrators, teachers and other staff members, crucial for networking and a well ran classroom.

Her favorite things are going on cruises, sewing and teaching art using recycle materials.
