Mrs. Parr attended the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio for her bachelor’s degree in Middle Childhood Education. She majored in Middle School English Language Arts and Social Studies/Citizenship Education with a minor in American Studies. She then went on to complete her Master’s of Education at Slippery Rock University, in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, with a K-12 Reading certification and Reading Specialist/Literacy Coach endorsement. She holds a Title 1 teaching certificate. She began her career at the Academies of Math & Science- Peoria Advanced campus with two years’ experience substitute teaching and four years’ experience in early childhood education administration- both in the Greater Pittsburgh Area in Pennsylvania. Currently, Mrs. Parr is one of the middle school English Language Arts teachers for our 6th and 7th grade scholars.
She recently moved out west with her husband, Rich, and their dog, Dollar. They are avid hikers and enjoy exploring the outdoors in their free time. She loves reading adolescent literature and her favorite novel remains Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie by Jordan Sonnenblick.

Help Build our AMSPA Library!

Bring a new or gently used book to your homeroom and/or ELA teacher (that's me!) by Friday, August 16th, 2019, and have the opportunity to wear jeans to school that same Friday! Our Booster Club is asking that we help build our AMSPA Library! Any book, and grade level!
Our classroom collection box is located in the back of the room on top of our Chromebook cart. Students can drop their book in the box and add their name to the jean list on the front board.
Thank you in advance for your support!
