Meet Ms. Cherise Lukacs

Cherise Lukacs is originally from Arizona. She received her Master's Degree in Education with a certificate in Applied Prevention Science from Arizona State University (ASU). Currently, she is pursuing her EdD in Leadership and Innovation at ASU. She is an Alumni of Teach for America and AmeriCorps. Additionally, Ms. Lukacs is an active member of Leadership for Educational Equity. Her experience includes teaching Grade 1, kindergarten, community college, and working as an educational assistant at Spurlock Museum of World Cultures.


When she is not teaching, you will find her volunteering as a crisis counselor and in the larger community; Ms. Lukacs is a proud recipient of the Gold Level President's Volunteer Service Award (2020-2021). Ms. Lukacs is passionate about mental health, social matters, tribal matters, culture, language revitalization, students' self-efficacy, and much more!


This year, Ms. Lukacs is looking forward to meeting our new scholars and connecting with continuing scholars!
