Meet Miss Barbara Mack

Miss Mack has been teaching for 30 years. She has taught or tutored Pre-K through 12th grade. She graduated from Arizona State University, in the first class to graduate from the west campus. She has had many different experiences in teaching. Miss Mack started as a preschool teacher before moving on to substitute teaching. Her next experience came as a reading specialist to fourth and fifth graders, followed by several years as a Title 1 teacher using a mobile classroom to travel around the greater Phoenix area. After that she acted as librarian, art teacher and middle school Language Arts teacher at a small school in South Phoenix where she later taught 3rd grade and Kindergarten.She also spent a couple of years teaching 1st grade. After all of her various experiences she decided Kindergarten was the place for her and has been teaching Kindergarten ever since.
Miss Mack enjoys spending time with her family, especially at holiday gatherings. She loves all things Disney and has made many trips to Disneyland with family. She loves animals and currently has three pets, 2 dogs and a cat. In her free time she also enjoys baking and candy making.
Miss Mack is looking forward to having students back in her classroom. She believes kindergarten students are eager learners and loves spending time teaching them new things. She hopes things get back to normal soon so all students can find the joys of learning again.
