Welcome to Miss Ford's 3rd Grade Class!

Hi, my name is Miss Ford! This is my first year here at AMS-Camelback. I moved here from Seattle, Washington and went to the University of Puget Sound. I have a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Education Studies. I am currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Teaching at Arizona State University. I have worked in several nonprofit organizations to work towards equity in education and I am very passionate about giving students what they need to learn and
Miss Ford
succeed. I am very excited to help your student learn and grow throughout the year!

  1. Math homework will be sent home every night Monday through Thursday and will be due the next morning.
  2. A spelling packet will be sent home every Monday and will be due every Friday. It is filled with tasks for them to do to help study for their spelling test on Friday. Although it is not due until Friday, I will be checking their spelling packets periodically throughout the week to make sure they are on track.
3. A reading log will be sent home every Monday and is due every Friday. Students are expected to read at least 20 minutes each night and fill out their reading log. I ask that parents sign this log each night too.
To promote the importance of responsibility to students I do not give out copies if a student loses their papers. With that being said, students are also expected to complete their homework in full each night, if they do not turn it in or if it is incomplete they will be given recess detention to work on their incomplete work.
If you ever have any questions or concerns do not ever hesitate to reach me on our class dojo site! This is also where students' behavior points are posted and will give you live updates about your child's day.
Here is a link to the packet for third graders for the week of March 23rd to March 27th.
Students are asked to work through this doing two lessons each day from math, ELA, and science. If they have any questions they can message me on Class Dojo or call me! If I do not answer, please leave a voicemail and I will get back to it as soon as I can!
Here is my number: (623)-547-5587 Extension: 11473
Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions you may have! This is all unchartered territory and we will get through it together :-)
