My name is Jennifer Riggle, and I am acting as a long-term substitute for Ms. Bantigue's class. This is my first year with the Academy of Math and Science. I have 10+ years of experience working in the classroom with high school AVID programs, and elementary school Boy's & Girls Club after school/summer school programs. I moved to Arizona in 2014, and have been volunteering at the Arizona Museum of Natural History as a gallery interpreter (educator) for nearly 5 years. I am honored have the opportunity to work with your children, and I hope to share so much knowledge with them.
I am originally from California, and I am a first generation college student. My parents did not go to college, nor did their parents. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in General Geology/Geophysics from the University of California, Riverside in June 2014. It was a long and difficult road - but I am proud of the effort and determination I put in to make it through. I am excited about the opportunity to teach your young scholars, and I hope to become a full-term teacher soon!
I love teaching because it is a way for me to help others grow and succeed. I have been practicing the craft since I was a small child - I remember summer vacations playing "school" with my younger neighbors, and I often was the teacher - because I was the oldest, but I also found it fun.

Thank you for letting me have the opportunity to teach your children and be a part of their success.
