Welcome
- Hello, my name is Tawanna Erving and I am from Chicago, Illinois. I graduated from Eastern Illinois University and have been teaching for over 19 years- 18 of those teaching kindergarten. Teaching is my heart and passion. When I am not teaching I enjoy swimming, collecting sea shells, scrap booking, shopping, reading books, and spending quality time with my two daughters, grand puppies and family. I am very delighted to be a part of the Academy of Math and Science Staff.
As we begin our journey of success there are a few classroom rules that we will be practicing throughout the year:
1. Students should listen to the teacher at all times.
2. Keep their hands and feet to themselves.
3. Respect themselves and others.
4. Come ready to learn every day.
My expectations for the school year are to have every student meet or exceed their grade level and that every student wants to learn and except challenges with confidence and pride. I look forward to having a productive and successful school year.
