Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! I am so proud and excited to be the principal at AMS Camelback this school year.

Our team of teachers have been hard at work all summer preparing for this school year, we’ve been analyzing data,
lesson planning to meet the needs of our scholars and preparing our classrooms. You’ll be hearing this a lot this year, but we’re striving to provide an extraordinary experience for the entire Camelback community.

 

Looking toward this year, we’ve been very intentional in our planning and preparation to provide our students with opportunities to be showcased in The 3 A’s – Academics, Athletics, and the Arts. We will provide all our students with the chance to shine in these three areas throughout the school year. We’ll be providing opportunities during school as well as outside of the regular school day. We encourage all our students to take advantage of these extra opportunities to get involved and show off their skills. I can’t wait to see what our Firebirds will create, show, and do as the year progresses.

 

We are making some changes to our Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS) framework for this school year, instead of S.O.A.R. we’ll be asking all our Firebirds to follow the Firebird Code: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe and Be a Learner. We’ll be spending time teaching our schoolwide expectations during these first few weeks of the school year and talking about them all year long. We also made the decision to go fully digital this year with our Firebird Feathers; more information to come on how to log into the app and monitor your child’s earning will be coming once school starts.

 

We have a lot of new faces here at Camelback this school year, some familiar faces in new places as well. Please feel free to come by the school and meet us, we’re all priding ourselves on being open and available to provide extraordinary customer service to our families and community.

 

Please find ways to get involved with us; whether it’s as minimal as reading our newsletters or following us on Facebook and Instagram. We want to hear from you, and we want to work as partners with you. If you’re ever not satisfied; please know my door is always open and I’m available to listen and problem-solve with you.

 

We have so many great things planned for this school year; I can’t wait to see what our Firebirds will do; I just know they will all SOAR!

¡Bienvenido al año escolar 2022-2023! Estoy muy orgulloso y emocionado de ser el director de AMS Camelback este año escolar.

Nuestro equipo de maestros ha estado trabajando muy duro durante todo el verano preparándonos para este año escolar, hemos estado analizando datos, planificando lecciones para satisfacer las necesidades de nuestros estudiantes y preparando nuestras aulas. Brindaremos a todos nuestros estudiantes la oportunidad de brillar en estas tres áreas durante todo el año escolar. Brindaremos oportunidades durante la escuela, así como fuera del día escolar regular. Alentamos a todos nuestros estudiantes a aprovechar estas oportunidades adicionales para involucrarse y mostrar sus habilidades. No puedo esperar a ver lo que nuestros Pájaros de Fuego crearán, mostrarán y harán a medida que avance el año.

 

Estamos haciendo algunos cambios en nuestro marco de Intervenciones y Apoyos de Comportamiento Positivo (PBIS) para su año escolar, en lugar de S.O.A.R. pediremos a todos nuestros Firebirds que sigan el Código Firebird: Sé respetuoso, Sé responsable, Sé seguro y Sé un aprendiz. Pasaremos tiempo enseñando nuestras expectativas en toda la escuela durante estas primeras semanas del año escolar y hablando de ellas durante todo el año. También tomamos la decisión de volvernos completamente digitales este año con nuestras Plumas de
Pájaro de Fuego; más información sobre cómo iniciar sesión en la aplicación y monitorear los ingresos de su hijo llegará una vez que comience la escuela.

 

Tenemos muchas caras nuevas aquí en Camelback este año escolar, algunas caras conocidas en nuevos lugares también. Por favor, siéntase libre de venir a la escuela y conocernos, todos nos enorgullecemos de estar abiertos y disponibles para brindar un servicio al cliente extraordinario a nuestras familias y comunidad.
