Hi, my name is Alicia Perea, and I am from Weslaco, Texas.  I am a certified Bilingual Teacher graduated from The University of Texas Pan American.  This is my seventh year as a Kindergarten teacher, here in Arizona.  I have experience with the AZELLA, STAR, DIBELS, and NWEA state tests that Kindergarten children take each year.  I am excited to continue teaching at Academy of Math and Science Camelback K-3, and to be your child's Kindergarten teacher.  I teach in a fun way so that all the children learn what is being taught using real objects, pictures, videos, songs, movement, and more.  I am a SEI (Structured English Immersion) teacher, and I follow the four-hour block which includes, one hour of Oral Language, one hour of Grammar, one hour of Writing, and one hour of Reading every day.  In the past, I have had great parent involvement which leads to great student success!  I am looking forwards to meeting each one of my children's parents, in the coming week.
