Course Description

This year students will be introduced to new skills and ideas, while building on their previous knowledge from First Grade. Students will have the opportunity to read grade level literature, and recount stories such as folktales from diverse cultures, and determine their central lesson, message, or moral. Students will learn to simplify expressions with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; learn to think as historians, geographers, and political scientists, as we study the history of our world and country; and observe/investigate how water can change the shape of land.
