I am sending a set of documents for your student to use/review during the summer break.
There are 2 English packet versions attached - part of a zip file.
These include a variety of work for 3rd grade - Math, writing, reading and Social Studies These includes answer keys too for quick checks.
I would suggest if able to print a few pages a week - the first packet v1 has 56 pages.
v2 has 34 pages - again - with answer keys included to check the student's understanding.
Even if student can review pages on a phone or ipad, they can write the answers down separately and stay ACTIVE with their learning.

Math - students have one page practice of fact families using multiplication and division.
Science - Students are working on "living things vs. non-living things" and determining what is/is not. They have a one page practice to determine what is living vs. non-living.

Grades are due Friday, so it is important to get caught up.

ps - we are checking homework being turned in. Thursday HW - 3C had a 77% success rate. 3D had a 46% success rate. I have challenged both classes to reach 80% or better by February!

Students worked today in groups! This was a big transition and they did well!
Topic today was "Division with two-digit answers". Basically understanding how to recognize the parts of a division problem, and how to do the math. They have the resource sheet, with homework problems on the back. (Dividing 96 by 4 = 24. 4 groups of 24 = 96 total).
Great opportunity to work as a group, problem solving and thinking thru the method of division and how it relates to multiplication.

My homeroom (3C) worked on their Math, practicing division and relationship to multiplication. Students also finalized homework from Lesson 46. They also had the chance to get on Study Island and work on specific math applications!
My 3D class was able to get to the Science lesson from Thursday, reviewing and discuss the digestive tract today - What happens to the food we eat? Fun discussions and practice identifying parts and the role in digestive system.
One page division review for take home.

Hello! Welcome back to classes!
Students have a MATH test on Tuesday, December 3, 2019. They received and wrote out the study guide today in class. For review, practice, etc.
ALSO - Students received a DECEMBER writing assignment - something the students will use in both my class and Ms. Herren's class. They are to write one sentence every day in the month of December - using words from a word bank. They need clear, well written sentences, underlining the word used. They are not to use one word over and over again - practice and clear writing.
They will receive credit/points in both classes, and a reward for completing this December writing assignment.
