Important Info please read;
Parents I am focusing on completing Study Island so in class we have taken notes together as a class in their notebooks. So they are equipped with what they need in order to complete the practices on the topics at home. I am challenging the students to please strive for a 80 to 100%. We are keeping track of their accomplishments on sticker charts and in their folders in class. I am very proud of all the students who work so hard to achieve their goals. So in order to be successful I am having the students complete their Study Island practices at home. Study Island is part of their grade so I emphasized to the students that they need to stay focused and complete this assignment. Therefore, for homework this week students will need to complete these Study Island topics;
Academic and Domain-Specific Vocabulary
Adjectives
Capitalization
Compare and Contrast in Informational Texts
Compare and Contrast in Literature
Complete Sentences, Fragments and Run-Ons
Conduct Research
Context Clues
I advised the students they can read every night for 30 minutes and write a summary. But the most important is for them to do the Study Island first then they can read for 30 minutes last.
I know alot of NEW information so if you have questions please feel free to let me know.
Have a wonderful week.
