Brynn Embley graduated from Brigham Young University, holds a Certificate in Advanced Educational Leadership from Harvard, and has completed the New Principals Course with the Arizona Charter Association, as well as the New and Aspiring Leaders course at Harvard. She began her teaching career in rural Mississippi with Teach for America. Ms. Embley has been awarded such distinctions as Teacher of the Month and was a runner-up for Woman of the Year with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She has been at the head of several volunteer organizations such as United Way, and has presented at the National Community Leaders Convention. She has won competitions ranging from Photo Journalism to Accelerated Reader including every game of Bananagrams she has ever played. Ms. Embley volunteers regularly with Feed My Starving Children, writes, and cross-stitches. Ms. Embley is a Leukemia survivor.
Chris Johnson received his Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Plymouth State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Prior to that he obtained his Bachelor's of Arts in English and Political Science from the University of Arizona, from which he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Mr. Johnson also holds a Post Graduate Certification in Secondary Education from Pima Community College (4.0 GPA), an International Baccalaureate Certificate in Teaching & Learning from Bethel University (4.0 GPA), and a CELTA certificate from the University of Cambridge. He has six years of experience in education as a teacher, trainer, and educational leader, as well as four years of experience as a youth sports coach at the YMCA. Some interesting facts about Chris Johnson: he has taught on three continents, learned Spanish in Spain, went skydiving in Dubai, and love working at AMS!
