Mid-year enrollments require a copy of the withdrawal form from the previous school.
Waiting List / Lottery:
To best serve students at our schools, a low enrollment cap and limited class sizes must be maintained. If by the application deadline the number of applications exceeds the capacity of a program, class, grade level, or building, all applications for that program, class, grade level, or building are selected for available slots through a lottery. The lottery is a random selection process by which applicants on the waiting list are admitted to the schools. For example, if the number of fifth graders who apply before the end of the academic year reaches a point where there are more than the allowed students in any given classroom, a lottery shall be initiated for placement. Siblings of students currently attending, or accepted for enrollment in the upcoming school year, are exempt from the lottery process.
Following the lottery, enrollment is on a first come, first served basis. Our schools do not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, economic status, geographic location, disabilities, proficiency in the English language, etc. Our schools' admission and enrollment practices comply with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
Our schools put forth every effort to, “...inform students in the community about the charter school and to give each student an equal opportunity to attend,” (20 U.S.C. 7221b(b)(3)(I)). The schools enroll all eligible students who submit a timely application, unless the number of applications exceeds the capacity of a program, class, grade level, or building (A.R.S. 15-184).
