Dear AMS Families:

Welcome back to school! We are very excited about the 2017-2018 school year in our newly remodeled campus. When stage two construction is completed, we will have a new cafeteria, gym, stage area, and kitchen. Upon completion of stage three construction, all of our middle school students will move out of the portables and into new classrooms.

The start of a new school year is always a time filled with excitement. Our focus is to provide each child with new challenges that will result in a rewarding school experience. We want your child to be happy and successful at AMS, and you play a key role. That role is to continually show interest in, and to support, your child. A child who knows his or her family is interested in and supports school programs and staff, will almost always enjoy greater success, and will have fewer problems in school.

We continue to be inspired by the dedicated staff and families in this community, and look forward to getting to know our new team members. AMS is a school where students are supported and encouraged to grow in all areas - academically, socially and emotionally. We are fortunate to be a part of this high-quality learning community, and we speak on behalf of the entire staff when we say we are excited to have each of you as part of our school community. It takes all of us to help each and every child reach his/her potential, and we look forward to sharing in your child's learning experiences.

Working together we will have a wonderful year filled with learning, lifelong relationships and the joys of success and accomplishment. We look forward to meeting each of you, and to working with you and your children throughout the year.

Warm Regards,

Sandra Lomeland, Principal                                                         Meg Panknin, Assistant Principal
